The board has a mango wood handle and incorporates a beautifully smooth, polished slab of sandstone which is sturdy and hardwearing, while looking effortlessly elegant at the same time. This design melds two beautiful natural materials together to form one cohesive design that looks as striking hung on a wall as it does for serving up a cheese board.
Mango wood has a light natural tone with natural variation within the grain. Working with this material which is a by-product of the mango-growing industry and repurposing it to give it a new lease of life. Once the trees are no longer fruitful, they are taken down and we use them to create many of our pieces.
