Look at seat height as well as overall size: a higher seat is noticeably easier to rise from than a low, deep one, which matters more than people expect. Allow roughly a clear metre square so a chair can be sat in and walked past, and angle it at 45 degrees in a corner rather than square to the walls. Add a side table at seat height and a table lamp beside it.
