Ceramic vases, stoneware vessels, terracotta urns and decorative pots in warm neutral tones and organic shapes. A single sculptural vessel does more for a surface than three small ones, and a vase looks best filled at roughly one and a half times its own height so the proportions read correctly. Group in odd numbers, repeat one glaze across a shelf to tie an arrangement together, and pair matt unglazed pieces with something glossy so the finishes contrast. Note that unglazed terracotta is porous and needs an inner vessel for fresh flowers. Style with stems and bouquets and trays.
