Dimensions
Will it fit? With a 47cm seat height, it suits standard UK dining tables of 73cm to 76cm high. Allow around 60cm to 65cm of table edge per chair: roughly six around a 180cm to 200cm table, and eight around a 220cm to 240cm table.
Materials and finish
A solid elm frame in a pale, bleached natural finish, with turned legs, slim stretchers and a low rounded backrest. The seat and back panel are handwoven seagrass, with a slight natural give that makes it comfortable for everyday meals.
As solid timber and handwoven fibre, every chair has subtle variations in grain, tone and weave. Slight differences across a set are part of the handmade character.
Care and honest expectations
Wipe the elm frame with a soft, barely damp cloth. Vacuum the seagrass gently with a soft brush attachment to lift crumbs and dust, and blot spills straight away with a dry cloth. Never soak.
For indoor use only. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which can fade the natural tones over time.
Styling and pairs well with
Set four, six or eight around a reclaimed oak table in a painted kitchen of sage, off-white or French grey. Add a flat seat pad or sheepskin for long Sunday lunches. It suits modern country, coastal, Hamptons and farmhouse homes.

The 47cm seat suits standard dining tables of 73cm to 76cm, leaving comfortable knee room beneath the top.
Is the seagrass seat comfortable?
Yes. Handwoven seagrass has a gentle natural give. For longer meals, many people add a flat seat pad or sheepskin.
How many will fit around my table?
Allow 60cm to 65cm of table edge per chair. A 140cm round table seats four to six, and a 220cm to 240cm table seats eight.
Is there a matching bar stool?
