The Kempsford Round Rattan Placemats, Pack of 2
Natural rattan in a soft white wash, woven into a classic round that gives every place setting a layer of warmth and texture. The wash lightens the rattan without hiding it, pale enough for any table yet warm enough never to feel cold. Mix them with the Kempsford Scalloped Oval for a relaxed, layered table. Dimensions
Will it fit? At 29cm across, each mat sits just beyond the rim of a standard 27cm dinner plate, so it frames the plate like a charger. Order two or more packs to set a full table.
Materials and finish
Woven from natural rattan and finished in a soft white wash, with a weave that catches the light and adds depth to the table.
The clean round silhouette suits round plates, and shares its finish with the Kempsford Scalloped Oval, so the two mix easily.
Care and honest expectations
Brush off crumbs and wipe with a barely damp cloth, then leave to dry flat. Do not soak or put them in the dishwasher.
As a natural material, rattan varies slightly in tone and weave from mat to mat. Use a trivet under very hot dishes, and keep the mats dry and away from direct heat.
Styling and pairs well with
Layer them with neutral plates from our bowls and dishes collection for a soft, tonal look, or contrast with darker plates and glassware to bring out the texture of the weave.
Add a Kempsford tray from our trays collection and candles from our candles and diffusers collection down the centre of the table.
