Will it fit? At 77cm tall and 42cm wide, this is a substantial lamp. It suits a console, sideboard or a large bedside of at least 50cm wide, where it gives a generous pool of light without looking lost.

The base is ceramic in a soft cream gloss glaze, with a band of raised dots and ribbing around its widest point that catches the light. The fittings are iron.

The drum shade is natural linen in a warm oatmeal tone that softens the light and sits comfortably with the cream glaze.

Always switch off and allow the bulb to cool before touching or cleaning. Wipe the base with a soft, dry cloth and dust the shade with a soft brush or lint roller. Avoid water and cleaning sprays.

Use one E27 bulb of no more than 60W. An LED bulb in a warm white runs cooler and suits the linen shade. The lamp is rated IP20 for indoor use in dry rooms only, so keep it away from bathrooms and damp areas. At 9.9kg, stand it on a stable, level surface.

Set it on a sideboard from our console tables and sideboards collection with a round mirror from our mirrors collection above.

The cream and linen suit coastal, Scandi and relaxed modern rooms. Add a stoneware vase from our pots and vases collection for a calm, tonal group.
