Will it fit? This is a large lamp, best on a console or sideboard at least 40cm deep, ideally more. On a 75cm console the top of the shade sits around 155cm from the floor, so check clearance beneath mirrors or shelves. On a compact bedside it will dominate.

A ceramic base in a generous demijohn shape, wide and rounded at the bottom and drawing into a narrow neck, in a soft cream glaze. Bands of small pierced perforations around the lower half add decorative texture and a gentle horizontal rhythm.

The natural linen drum shade diffuses light warmly. At 8.98kg, the weighted base keeps this tall lamp steady. Small variations in the glaze and linen weave are natural.

Always switch off and let the bulb cool before cleaning. Dust the ceramic with a soft, dry cloth, and use a soft brush to clear the pierced detail. Use a lint roller or soft brush on the shade, and never wet the linen.

Lift from the base, never by the neck or shade. For indoor dry rooms only (IP20).

Place a matching pair at either end of a long sideboard, or use one to anchor a console with a single low bowl beside it. It sits beautifully with timber, rattan, stone and warm neutrals. A warm dimmable bulb of 2400K to 2700K keeps the cream glaze soft.

Pair with our console tables and sideboards, or add texture from our rugs collection.

Does light shine through the pierced base?

No. The pierced banding is a decorative detail that adds texture to the ceramic. The light comes from the linen shade above.

What bulb does it need?

An E27 bulb up to 60W, not included. A warm dimmable LED of around 8W to 10W is ideal.

Will it work as a bedside lamp?

In a large bedroom with a generous bedside table, yes. On a compact bedside, a lamp of 45cm to 60cm will suit better.

Can I use it in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, for indoor dry rooms only.
