Will it fit? The two sizes differ mainly in length rather than height: the small is compact and square, the large longer with a striding stance. A pair needs around 50cm of surface with a little space between them.

Metal with a warm gold finish, the legs and antlers carried as fine, clean forms rather than modelled detail. The result reads as a contemporary sculptural piece as much as a seasonal one.

The finish may show slight variation across the surface, which is characteristic of a metal piece.

Dust with a soft dry cloth, using a soft brush for the antlers. Use nothing abrasive and no metal polish; a barely damp cloth on a mark, dried straight away, is all it needs.

Lift it by the body rather than the fine antlers or legs, and wrap it individually in tissue when storing. For indoor use only, as the finish is not weatherproof and may spot if damp.

Buy one of each size for a natural looking pair, both facing the same way at one end of a mantel. At Christmas, add a stem of greenery and a candle alongside; in January, move them to a bookshelf or console where they read as sculpture.

Group them on a tray with candles for a festive dining table, or beside a dark glazed vase for contrast.

Is the price for one or a pair?

Per figurine, in your chosen size. One of each makes a lovely pair, as the difference in proportion keeps them from looking repeated.

What is the difference between the sizes?

Mainly length. The small is 20cm long and the large 25cm, with only 1.5cm between them in height.

Is it only for Christmas?

Not at all. Its simple form works as a year round sculptural piece on a shelf or console.

Can I use it outdoors?

No. The gold finish is not weatherproof and may spot if it gets damp.
