Storage furniture usually asks you to trade depth for capacity. This one does not. Four drawers run the full width of the Abingdon four door cabinet, sitting above two pairs of doors that open onto a divided interior, and the whole thing does it within a 44cm depth and a 150cm length. At 90cm tall it stands higher than a conventional sideboard, which brings the top to a comfortable working height and gives the piece real presence against a wall. Crafted from elm with an open, softly limed grain and finished with aged ring pulls, it arrives fully assembled and ready to fill.

Small things and large things, separated. The problem with most sideboards is that everything ends up in the same cupboard: napkins on top of platters, chargers tangled with candles. Four drawers change that. Cutlery, linen, keys, stationery and all the small everyday items get their own compartment, while the cupboards below stay free for the bulk — serveware, glassware, spare bedding, whatever the room actually needs to hide. At 90cm the height is deliberate, matching a kitchen worktop closely enough that the top functions as a genuine serving or drop surface rather than something you stoop to. And elm is the reason it does not read as heavy: a looser, more expressive grain than oak, warmer in tone, with enough movement across four door panels to keep a solid piece feeling light.
