Will it tuck under my table? The arms, at 68cm, are what need to clear the table, so measure to the underside of your table apron rather than the top. At 68cm or more the chair tucks fully away. Below that, it sits slightly proud of the edge, which is usual with a slipcovered chair.

How many will fit? Allow around 60cm of table edge per chair. A 180cm table seats six comfortably.

100% linen cover, which falls into soft vertical folds and stays breathable through a long meal. It lifts away from the frame for cleaning.

Underneath is a foam padded seat, a gently curved backrest and low arms on an engineered plywood frame. Plywood stays stable in a heated home and holds its fixings securely for years.

The chair arrives fully assembled with the cover fitted. It is sold individually and is for indoor use only.

The cover is dry clean only. Please do not machine wash it. Natural linen shrinks when washed at home and will not refit with the same tailored fall.

Vacuum monthly with an upholstery attachment and blot spills straight away rather than rubbing. A light steam restores the drape when the skirt creases. Keep it out of strong all-day sun.

Soft creasing after use is normal, and linen softens through the first year. Tone varies slightly between batches, so if you need several chairs, order them together.

Beyond the dining room, it works as a dressing table chair, a bedroom corner chair or a desk chair, much like an accent chair. At 8.5kg it moves easily between rooms.

Set it against warm off whites, oatmeal, putty or sage, with a reclaimed timber dining table, a jute or wool rug and washed linen napkins. Keep the table simple and let the chairs do the styling.
