Will it fit? At 69cm across, it is scaled for a substantial dining table or kitchen island. As a guide, hang the bottom of the shade around 75cm to 85cm above the table top, and check that the 142cm total drop suits your ceiling height.

The shade is handwoven from natural rattan in a mushroom dome, with a tighter woven crown and a wider open brim. The open weave lets light filter outward into the room as well as down onto the table.

It hangs from an iron chain in a bronze tone with a matching ceiling rose. As a handwoven natural material, expect gentle variation in tone and weave.

Always switch off and allow the bulb to cool before cleaning. Dust the rattan with a soft, dry brush or the brush attachment of a vacuum on a low setting, and wipe the chain with a dry cloth. Avoid water and cleaning sprays on the weave.

For indoor use in dry rooms only (IP20), and never exceed a 40W bulb. We recommend installation by a qualified electrician.

Hang it above a reclaimed wood table with rattan or linen chairs for a relaxed kitchen-diner, or over an island with brass candlesticks and a bowl of greenery. It suits farmhouse, coastal, modern rustic and French country homes. A warm bulb brings out the honey tones of the rattan.

What bulb does it take?

A B22 bayonet bulb up to a maximum of 40W. We suggest a warm white bulb to bring out the rattan's honey tones.

How much light does it give?

The open weave and wide brim cast light down onto the table and outward through the rattan, creating a warm, ambient glow rather than a tight spotlight.
