Will it fit? It's compact enough for a bedside or a tight reading nook, and the top comfortably takes a small lamp and a glass.

Also available lower. The Amesa also comes at 52cm high with a 30cm top, a better match for a low modern sofa or a smaller chair.

Iron in a matte black finish that feels quietly modern without being stark, and sits as easily with pale linen and natural wood as with a more industrial scheme.

A fine raised edge keeps drinks, candles and reading glasses from sliding off, and four slim legs give it a clean, architectural silhouette.

Cleaning. Wipe with a soft dry or barely damp cloth, then dry straight away. Avoid abrasives, which leave shiny patches on a matte finish.

Everyday use. Use a coaster for drinks and a saucer under plants. Felt pads protect timber floors. For interior use only.

Beside the sofa for drinks and a lamp, at the bedside with a book and a glass of water, or next to an accent chair in a reading nook. The raised edge and height also make it a lovely plant stand for potted greenery.

Pair it with a table lamp and a jute rug for warmth against the black iron. Place both sizes together for a softly stepped look.
