Will it fit? The shade is wider than the lamp is tall, so measure your surface depth rather than the height. A table of 45cm deep or more suits it best. At just 46cm high, it slips beneath a wall-mounted mirror, a low shelf or artwork, and sits at a comfortable height on a generous bedside.

A rounded ceramic urn in a heavily textured white glaze, closer to pumice or coarse stone than smooth pottery, so light catches across the surface and gives it real depth. The wide flared linen coolie shade spreads light outward across a surface rather than in a tight pool.

As the texture is applied and fired, the surface varies slightly between pieces.

Always switch off and let the bulb cool before cleaning. Dust the textured base with a soft dry brush rather than a cloth, which can catch. Dust the shade with a soft brush or lint roller, and never use water or spray on the linen.

For indoor dry rooms only (IP20), so not suitable for bathrooms. A warm LED bulb runs cooler inside a ceramic base.

Set it on a console beneath a mirror, or use a matching pair either side of the bed. Keep the surface clear, with just a low bowl or a stack of books alongside. It stands out beautifully against olive, sage or charcoal walls. A warm bulb of 2400K to 2700K keeps the white glaze from looking grey.

Pair with our console tables or bedside tables, or add a darker glaze from our pots and vases collection.

Will it fit under my mirror?

At 46cm it suits most console and mirror arrangements. Measure the gap between your surface and the mirror, allowing a little clearance above the shade.

Is it too wide for a bedside table?

The height is ideal for a bedside, but the 50cm shade needs a generous table, ideally 45cm deep or more.

Is a bulb included?

No. It takes a standard E27 screw bulb up to 60W. A warm, dimmable LED is ideal.

Can I use it in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, for indoor dry rooms only.
