A true centrepiece. It holds a full single layer of fruit, and at 19cm it stays low enough to see across a dining table. At over 5kg, check that lighter or glass-topped surfaces can take the weight.

Glazed terracotta with a glossy reactive glaze in deep sea green. Speckling comes through the glaze rather than sitting on it, and the colour pools darker where it gathers at the foot.

Raised pedestal foot that lifts the bowl clear of the surface, giving it a sculptural silhouette. No two pieces speckle identically.

Wipe clean with a soft damp cloth and dry straight away. Do not submerge it or put it in a dishwasher, and avoid anything abrasive on the glaze. Do not fill it with water.

Lift it from underneath the bowl with both hands rather than by the foot, and use a mat on polished surfaces. Please check with us before using it for food.

Fill it with a single layer of lemons and oranges, or leave it empty on a console or coffee table. Let it be the only strong colour against bare timber, linen or pale stone, with low candles alongside.

Place it near a lamp to bring out the speckling. It suits Mediterranean, rustic and modern country interiors.
