Dayton Ceramic Artisanal Vase in Deep Brown Glaze

A generous scale. It is wider than it is tall, with the presence to hold a console, sideboard or coffee table on its own. Its weight keeps it steady on any surface.

Glazed stoneware, with a wide, rounded body tapering to a small base and a slightly organic mouth, the mark of a vessel shaped by hand.

Deep brown glaze that shifts with the curve, pooling darker in the recesses and lighter over the widest points. Each piece is handcrafted and unique.

Dust with a soft dry cloth, or wipe with a barely damp cloth and dry straight away. Avoid anything abrasive on the glaze. Lift it by the body rather than the rim, and use a mat on polished surfaces.

Leave it empty as a sculptural piece, or fill it with dried stems such as rosemary or grasses, or with faux greenery. The dark vessel grounds a lighter arrangement above it.

It suits modern, rustic, wabi-sabi and minimal interiors. Place it on a console near a warm table lamp to bring out the depth of the glaze.
