Mosaic Fig Dinner Plates, Set of Four

Standard dinner plate size, so they fit straight into your cupboard alongside what you already have. Substantial at around 800g each.

Stoneware, food safe, with a smooth glazed surface.

Fig mosaic design, with every tessera drawn individually and the cream ground laid in concentric rings, as on a Roman floor. The same design appears on all four plates, with a clear cream border so it reads with or without food.

Dishwasher and microwave safe. Not for oven or hob use. Avoid sudden temperature changes, and store with a cloth between plates if stacking for long periods.

A serrated knife can leave grey marks over time; these lift with a little bicarbonate paste.

Keep everything else plain: washed linen napkins, simple glassware and a bare timber dining table. For a table of eight, mix four with plain cream plates for a collected look.

Between meals, display them face out on an open shelf or plate rack.
