Thornbury Cinnamon Stoneware Mugs | Set of Two

Will it fit? At 9cm tall and 10cm across, with a generous looped handle, they sit comfortably on a mug tree or open shelf and hold a full cup of coffee or tea.

Wheel thrown stoneware in a warm cinnamon glaze that stops short of the foot, leaving a band of raw clay exposed as it would on a studio piece. Subtle throwing lines run around each mug, so the colour shifts gently from rim to base.

The looped handle is wide enough for a whole finger, and the raw foot gives a little grip on a worktop. As each is made on a wheel, height, weight and glaze depth vary slightly between the two.

Not microwave or oven safe. Warm your drink first and pour it in rather than heating it in the mug.

Hand washing in warm water with a soft cloth is kindest to the glaze; avoid abrasive scourers. The raw base is slightly porous, so dry it thoroughly before putting away, and use a coaster on polished or delicate surfaces.

The cinnamon glaze looks beautiful against dark cabinetry, green tiles or a plain wooden table. Hang them on a mug rack, line them up on open shelving, or give them as a boxed gift without needing wrapping.
