Will it fit? This is a statement lamp. Allow a surface at least 40cm deep so the shade doesn't overhang, and a console of 100cm or more. On a 75cm console the top of the shade sits around 147cm from the floor, so check clearance under shelves or mirrors. For a compact bedside, a lamp of 45 to 60cm will suit better.

The base is papier mache, built up in layers for a soft, slightly irregular surface and an organic form, so no two are quite identical. It is light for its size, which makes it easy to lift and reposition.

The natural woven shade lets light pass through the weave as well as the material, casting a soft pattern onto nearby walls, especially in a darker room.

Always switch off and let the bulb cool before cleaning or changing it. Dust the base with a soft dry cloth or brush, and the shade with a dry brush or a vacuum on low with a brush attachment. Never use water or cleaning sprays on the base or shade, as moisture will mark papier mache.

For dry indoor rooms only, so not bathrooms, utility rooms or conservatories that get condensation. Handle it by the base, as the surface can dent if knocked. A warm LED bulb of 2400K to 2700K suits the neutral finish and the woven shade.

Is a bulb included?

No. It takes a standard E27 bulb. A warm LED of 2400K to 2700K gives the best glow.

Is it fragile?

It is more delicate than ceramic. It will not shatter, but the surface can dent if knocked and it must be kept dry.

Can I dim it?

Yes, with a dimmable E27 bulb and a compatible dimmer, or a smart bulb.

Will two lamps match exactly?

Close, but papier mache varies slightly in texture from piece to piece. If buying two, order them together.
