Grain varies considerably from board to board, so yours will be individual in its figuring.

Hand wash only and never leave it soaking. Wash, rinse and dry straight away, then stand it on edge so air reaches both faces.

Never put it in a dishwasher. Heat and prolonged water will crack solid timber.

Oil it periodically with a food-safe mineral oil or board butter, every few weeks with heavy use, a few times a year otherwise.
