Will it fit? At 38cm across, each mat sits comfortably under a standard 27cm dinner plate with a border showing around the rim. Allow around 60cm of table width per place setting. Two sets lay a table for eight.

Each mat is woven from jute in a soft white wash that keeps the natural texture and slubbed character of the fibre visible.

The tight flat weave gives a level surface for plates and glasses, and the round shape softly frames each place setting.

Wipe clean only. Blot spills straight away with a barely damp cloth, then leave to dry flat. Do not soak or machine wash.

Jute is a natural fibre, so expect slight variation in texture and tone between mats. Avoid placing very hot dishes directly on the mats, and keep them indoors and away from damp.

Layer them with our White Pompom Edge Napkins and Salcombe Shell Napkin Rings for a relaxed coastal table, with plates from our bowls and dishes collection.

Add candles from our candles and diffusers collection down the centre of a table from our dining tables collection.

Will a dinner plate fit?

Yes. At 38cm across, they take a standard 27cm dinner plate with a border showing around the rim.

How do I clean them?

Wipe clean only. Blot spills with a barely damp cloth and dry flat.

Can I put hot dishes on them?

We recommend using a trivet under very hot dishes to protect the jute.

Can they be used outside?

They are for indoor use only, as damp can mark natural jute.
