Will it fit? As a portrait piece it suits a chimney breast, the wall above a console or the space beside a window. Allow a wall at least 100cm wide. It also leans well on a sideboard or console at least 90cm wide for a relaxed, layered look.

Mixed media on stretched canvas, with the cream and clay passages built up in a plaster like impasto for real physical relief and a soft, matte finish.

The palette runs from cream and clay beige through terracotta and oxblood to black, held in a slim pale wood frame that echoes the warm earth tones.

Dust gently with a soft dry brush, taking care over the raised texture. Avoid water and cleaning sprays, and keep it out of strong direct sunlight to protect the colours.

Hanging fixings are included. At 4.28kg, use a wall fixing suitable for your wall type and rated for the weight. If leaning it, make sure it sits securely against the wall.

The earth palette suits warm modern, Mediterranean and relaxed contemporary rooms with limewashed walls, linen and natural wood. Lean it on a sideboard from our console tables and sideboards collection alongside a lamp from our lighting collection.

Pick up the terracotta with a vase from our pots and vases collection and a few dried stems.
