A full-size broom. At over four feet, it has real presence leaning in a doorway or beside a fireplace. The rope loop takes a standard picture hook or wall hook if you prefer to hang it.

Being natural, the twigs splay and vary in tone differently on every broom. It is a decorative piece, not a working broom.

Keep it sheltered, as a porch or covered doorway is fine but sustained rain will spoil the twigs and rope. Keep it away from open flames, so beside the fireplace rather than against the hearth.

Expect a little shedding, especially when first unwrapped. Between seasons, store it standing or flat in a dry place rather than hanging it by the loop.

Lean it in the corner of a porch beside a wreath on the door, with pumpkins, a basket or a lantern at its foot. After Halloween, move it beside the fireplace or a log basket.

A low candle or lantern nearby brings out the texture of the twigs in the evening.
