Will it fit? Pair it with a chair of 45cm to 50cm seat height, and check where the crossbar sits for your feet. The 55cm depth takes a laptop, or a monitor with a keyboard in front. Allow 90cm to 100cm behind for your chair.

Reclaimed pine, sustainably sourced, with warm amber tones, knots and natural weathering left in place. No two are the same.

Turned legs joined by a crossbar add rigidity and a finished look beneath, in the tradition of classic library furniture. Five drawers give files, stationery and cables a proper home.

Cleaning. Dust along the grain with a soft dry cloth and wipe spills promptly. Wax once or twice a year, and avoid silicone polishes and sprays.

Everyday use. Use coasters and mats, and a leather or felt desk pad if you write by hand, as the weathered surface has a gentle texture.

What to expect. Pine is a softwood and marks more readily than oak, but everyday marks blend into the weathered finish. Yours won't match the photographs exactly.

Add a warm table lamp at the back corner, a tray for small things, and art or a mirror above. A rug underneath quietens the chair.

It works just as beautifully as a dressing table with a mirror above, or as a hallway console with five useful drawers.

Will a chair fit underneath?

Is it big enough for a monitor?

It takes a laptop, or a monitor with a keyboard in front. Measure first for a dual-screen setup.

Can I use it as a dressing table?

Yes. The height and five drawers suit it well, with a mirror above.

Will mine look exactly like the photographs?
