Will it fit? This is a large lamp, best on a console or sideboard at least 40cm deep so the 50cm shade does not overhang. On a 75cm console the shade top sits around 145cm from the floor, so check clearance under shelves or mirrors. On a compact bedside it will dominate.

A rounded ceramic urn with a glossy cream glaze on the upper body meeting a matt, softly textured chalk white below. Two small decorative handles sit at the shoulder. The natural linen shade diffuses light warmly through the weave.

As a fired glaze, the position of the glaze line and depth of tone vary slightly between pieces.

Always switch off and let the bulb cool before cleaning. Wipe the ceramic with a soft dry cloth, and dust the shade with a soft brush or lint roller. Never use water or spray on the linen, and nothing abrasive on the glaze.

Lift by the body, not the handles, which are decorative. For indoor dry rooms only (IP20), so not suitable for bathrooms. We suggest a warm LED bulb, which runs cooler inside a ceramic base.

Place a matching pair at either end of a long sideboard, or one to anchor a console with a single low bowl beside it. It stands out beautifully against a deeper olive, sage or charcoal wall. A warm bulb of 2400K to 2700K keeps the cream glaze and linen glowing.

Pair with our console tables and sideboards, or add texture from our rugs collection.

Is a bulb included?

No. It takes a standard E27 screw bulb up to 60W. A warm, dimmable LED is ideal.

Will it work as a bedside lamp?

On a generous bedside in a large bedroom, yes. On a compact bedside, a lamp of 45cm to 60cm would suit better.

Are the handles functional?

They are decorative. Please lift the lamp by its body.

Can I use it in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, for indoor dry rooms only.
