Will it fit? Long enough to run down the centre of a dining table and serve four to six, yet slim enough at 1.2cm to stack in a cupboard or lean against a splashback.

Stoneware in a chalk coloured reactive glaze that moves and pools in the kiln, deepening along the edges and around the handle, so no two boards are quite the same.

The food safe glazed surface is non porous, so it wipes clean without absorbing oils or odours. The gently uneven edges give it a softly organic outline.

Hand wash in warm soapy water with a soft cloth, avoiding abrasive scourers, and dry before storing or hanging. Designed for serving rather than chopping, so slice on a wooden board and transfer across; cheese knives used lightly are fine.

If hanging it by the handle, use a hook rated for its weight rather than a light adhesive one. Tone, glaze pooling and outline vary slightly from board to board.

Run it down the centre of the table with cheeses, figs and grapes, or a warm loaf and a dish of oil. Between meals, prop it against a splashback or hang it from a peg rail.
