Console Tables

A gentle first impression, every time the door opens

Pale washed pine, softened at the edges, on gracefully turned legs. A single drawer keeps keys and post out of sight, leaving the top clear for a lamp, a few favourite books and whatever you have gathered from the garden. Equally at home in the hallway, behind a sofa or along a bedroom wall.

Will it fit? At 49cm deep it has a generous top, so in a hallway allow a clear walkway of at least 90cm in front. At 86cm high it sits neatly behind most sofas, close to the height of the back cushions.

Materials and finish

Made from pine with engineered wood components, finished in a delicate washed tone that gives a lightly weathered, lived-in look. The turned legs bring a classic, almost farmhouse elegance, while the pale finish keeps it feeling fresh rather than heavy.

Because the finish is applied by hand over natural timber, the grain, knots and tone will vary slightly from piece to piece. That variation is part of its character.

Care

Wipe spills straight away with a dry cloth and avoid harsh or acidic cleaners. Use coasters under glasses, vases and anything warm.

Honest expectations: a washed finish is designed to look gently worn, so small marks from everyday life tend to blend in rather than stand out. Keep it away from radiators and direct heat to protect the timber.

Styling and pairs well with

In a hallway, hang a mirror above and add a table lamp at one end for a soft evening glow. Balance the other side with a tall vase from our pots and vases collection, filled with faux stems that look good all year.

Behind a sofa, a pair of lamps and a low basket or two tucked underneath makes the space feel finished. The pale tone sits beautifully with linen, oak and natural textures throughout our living room collection.

Questions

Is it solid wood?

It is made from pine with engineered wood components, finished by hand in a washed tone.

Does it need assembling?

Yes, it requires full assembly. It weighs 23kg, so it is easy for two people to put together and move into place.

Can I use it as a desk?

At 86cm it is taller than a standard desk, so it works best as a console, a hall table or a display surface behind a sofa.

Will the colour match the photos?

Very closely, though each piece varies slightly in grain and tone because the finish is applied over natural timber. If you have any questions, get in touch.
