A recycled oak console only 26cm deep, with three drawers and two cabinets.
100% recycled oak with a natural rustic finish, black metal knobs, and drawers above cabinet storage below.
Most consoles offer drawers or cupboards. This has both, in a depth narrow enough to leave a hallway walkable. See the full console tables and sideboards range.
In a narrow hallway, depth decides everything. Twenty-six centimetres is the difference between furniture and an obstacle.

The measurements, and the space you need
17.5kg, with three drawers above and two double-door cabinets below.
26cm deep. That is the figure that makes this piece work where others cannot.
The depth is the point. Most consoles run 40cm to 50cm and most sideboards 45cm or more. At 26cm this is genuinely slim, which means it fits a corridor, a landing or a narrow entrance hall where a standard console would make the space unusable.
Still leave 90cm of walking room in front so the corridor functions and the drawers open comfortably.
The surface is narrow too, which is worth knowing. A 26cm top takes a lamp, a bowl and a small vase, but not a deep tray or a wide arrangement. Choose accessories with the depth in mind.
At 94cm it suits a shorter wall than most of our consoles, and at 17.5kg it is light enough for two people to carry easily. Allow around 120cm of wall so it has space at either end.
The detail that makes it different
Drawers and cupboards, in a piece this slim.
The combination is rarer than it sounds. Most consoles offer one or the other, and almost none manage both at 26cm deep. Three drawers sit at the top for the things that need frequent access, keys, post, remotes and everyday essentials, while two double-door cabinets below take the larger concealed storage that keeps the surface above clear.
That is the practical difference between a hallway that stays tidy and one that accumulates. An open console gives you somewhere to put things down and nowhere to put them away.
Recycled oak has a quality new timber cannot replicate. The grain is deeper, the tonal variation richer, and the character of timber that has already lived gives every piece an individuality manufactured alternatives never achieve.
The natural rustic finish celebrates the grain, the knots and the tonal variation rather than concealing them, so no two are identical and yours will not match the photograph exactly.
Black metal knobs provide the modern contrast that keeps rustic oak from feeling dated. Brass or timber knobs would have pushed the piece firmly traditional; black keeps it usable in a contemporary house.
Why you will love it
- Only 26cm deep, so it fits corridors where nothing else does
- Three drawers and two cabinets, when most consoles offer one or the other
- 100% recycled oak with a depth of grain new timber cannot match
- Natural rustic finish that shows the knots rather than hiding them
- Black metal knobs, contemporary contrast against rustic oak
- Everything hidden, with closed storage top and bottom
- 17.5kg, light enough to reposition easily
- Entirely unique, since recycled timber never repeats
What goes where
The three drawers are for daily access: keys, post, sunglasses, chargers, dog leads, the small things that otherwise cover a hallway surface within a week.
The two cabinets below take the larger and less frequent items. Shoes, bags, hats and gloves in a hallway. Table linens, placemats and serving pieces in a dining room. Cables, games and paperwork in a living room.
The point of having both is that the top stays clear. A console with only open storage or only a surface becomes a shelf for whatever anyone is holding when they walk in.
How our stylists would use it
A narrow top wants narrow things. A lamp with a base under 20cm, a small bowl for keys, and one piece with height. Anything deep will overhang the front edge.
A mirror or a run of framed pieces. A slim console beneath an empty wall looks unfinished, and a mirror in a narrow hallway does more for the sense of space than any piece of furniture can.
On a 94cm console a matching pair crowds the surface. A single lamp at one end with height at the other reads better and leaves somewhere to put things down.
Rustic oak wants warm neutrals: soft white, oatmeal, clay and mushroom. The black knobs give you licence to bring in other black details, a mirror frame or a wall light, without it looking accidental.
A long runner in a corridor warms a hard floor and makes a narrow space read wider than it is.
At a glance
Care and honest expectations
Dust along the grain with a soft dry cloth and wipe spills straight away rather than letting them sit.
Use coasters and mats under anything hot or wet, particularly if the console is doing duty as a serving surface in a dining room.
Refresh with a clear furniture wax once or twice a year to nourish the timber and deepen the tone. Avoid silicone polishes and all-purpose sprays, which build up and dull the surface.
Keep it clear of a radiator where you can, and out of prolonged direct sun, which lightens timber unevenly. Hallway radiators are easy to overlook when positioning a piece.
Mind the depth when loading it. A slim console is naturally less stable than a deep one, so keep heavier items in the lower cabinets rather than the top drawers.
What to expect. Grain, knots and tonal shifts vary across the piece and between pieces because the timber is genuinely recycled. That variation is the material working as intended.
