What size mattress does it take?
The Kendal is a UK king size bed frame, designed to take a standard 150 x 200cm king mattress (not included). The internal frame measures to suit a standard UK king, so your existing king mattress and bedding will fit.
What is the headboard made from?
The headboard is panelled in natural woven cane, set within a moulded, weathered limed-wood surround and topped with carved ball finials. The frame is crafted from bayur wood with plywood and wicker cane elements, giving the bed its light, breathable, French-country character.
Does it come with a slatted base?
Yes — the frame includes a supportive wooden slatted base, so there's no need for a separate bed base. You simply add your mattress on top of the slats.
Why does the wood finish vary?
The frame is given a soft, weathered lime-wash finish that allows the natural grain to show through. Because this is applied to natural timber, the tone and grain will vary a little from piece to piece — part of the character of a hand-finished, antique-inspired bed.
How tall is the headboard?
