The Oakridge brings something most weathered-pine chests of drawers never quite manage — a properly architectural silhouette set against the rustic timber finish. Slim pilasters run floor-to-top at each corner of the chest, finishing in subtle capital details that quote Georgian and Empire furniture design, while a stepped moulded plinth base lifts the whole piece from the floor with the proportional weight of a piece of architecture rather than a box of drawers. Against this formal frame sits the weathered pine: a pale grey-taupe limewashed finish with the deliberate horizontal grain of rough-sawn timber visible across every surface, giving the wood a tactile quality that you feel before you see.
