Will it fit? At just 20cm deep it suits narrow hallways, landings and the tight wall beside a bed. As a guide, hang the centre at 150cm to 165cm from the floor in a hallway, or 120cm to 140cm beside a bed. For pairs, allow at least 90cm between centres.

Hand-rubbed brass, warmer than polished and softer than aged, with a fluted stem that catches the light even when switched off. A round backplate sits neatly against plaster or panelling, and the white tapered fabric shade diffuses the bulb into a soft, warm glow.

Because the brass is finished by hand, expect gentle variation in tone between pieces. It will develop a natural patina over time.

Wipe the brass with a dry, lint-free cloth. Never use brass polish or abrasive cleaners, which will strip the hand-rubbed finish. Dust the shade with a soft dry brush or lint roller, and never use water or spray on the fabric.

For interior use in dry rooms only. It is not IP rated for bathrooms or outdoors. The fitting is hardwired, and we recommend installation by a qualified electrician.

Hang a pair either side of a hallway mirror, either side of the bed to free up your bedside tables, or a single light above a console table balanced by a tall vase. Choose a warm bulb at 2400K to 2700K so the brass glows rather than greys.

A standard E14 small screw bulb, not included. We suggest a warm LED at 2400K to 2700K.

Can it be dimmed?

Yes, with a dimmable LED bulb and a compatible LED dimmer switch.

Do I need an electrician?

We recommend it. The fitting is hardwired and should be installed by a qualified electrician in line with current regulations.
