Will it fit? At 75cm wide it sits beautifully above a console of around 110cm, a two-seater or an armchair. On an open wall, centre it at around 145cm to 155cm from the floor, which places the top edge near 200cm, so check your ceiling height or picture rail.

Hanging: please use fixings suited to your wall type and check them once a year.

Canvas with visible brushwork, showing two overlapping horses facing opposite ways, one dark and one pale, against a soft sage grey ground. A fine line of rust underpainting shows at the edges for a painterly finish. The slim black floating frame contains it without adding weight.

Dust the canvas with a dry, very soft brush only, and never use anything damp or any sprays on it. Wipe the frame with a dry cloth. Keep out of direct sunlight and away from radiators and steamy rooms.

Give it a wall to itself above a console, an armchair or a chimney breast. Choose a wall lighter or noticeably deeper than the sage ground, and let one other black note, perhaps a lamp base, echo the frame. It suits modern, minimalist and modern country homes, and pairs nicely with our horse head bookends.
