Will it fit? At 120cm it is larger than most round coffee tables. Allow at least 200cm of clear floor across, with 40cm to 45cm between the table and your sofa. On a rug, choose at least 200 x 300cm, or a generous round.

Height. At 43cm it sits slightly below most sofa seats, which suits a lower modern sofa. It works especially well with a corner or L-shaped sofa.

Pale weathered timber with visible grain and tonal variation, easy to pair with warm neutrals, linen and jute.

Four splayed legs set in from the edge give a steady, wide footprint, and the overhang leaves room for your feet when you lean forward.

It is a two person lift, for indoor use only.

Use coasters, dust along the grain with a soft dry cloth, and wipe spills promptly, as a pale finish shows water marks more readily. Refresh with clear furniture wax once or twice a year, avoid silicone polishes, and keep it away from radiators and strong direct sun.

Grain and tone vary across the top, so yours will not match the photographs exactly.

Style it in a loose triangle: a tray with a candle, a stack of books, and a low bowl or greenery. Keep everything low so sightlines stay open across the room.

Warm neutrals such as off white, oatmeal and clay flatter the pale timber, and dark glazed stoneware adds contrast.
