Statement height. At 34cm, it holds a mantel or console on its own. For an arrangement, aim for stems of around 50cm above the rim.

Terracotta with a hand-applied glossy glaze in a warm mustard yellow, earthy rather than bright, as the body shows through the colour. The glaze pools deeper in the curves, so no two are identical.

Ideal for dried and faux stems. For fresh flowers, use a watertight liner inside, as terracotta can seep at any unglazed point. For indoor use only.

Wipe with a soft damp cloth and dry straight away. Do not submerge it, put it in a dishwasher or use anything abrasive on the glaze. Lift it from the body rather than the scalloped rim, and use a mat on polished surfaces.

The hand-applied glaze varies in depth and tone, so yours will not match the photograph exactly.

Let it be the only colour on the surface, against bare timber, linen or a warm white wall. Fill it with green faux foliage or dried grasses rather than coloured flowers, or leave it empty.

Group it with plain cream or stone vessels at different heights. Avoid cool grey walls, which dull the warmth.
