Dimensions
Will it suit my table? The 50cm seat is at the taller end of the dining range, so it suits a table of around 78cm to 80cm. Check for a deep apron under the tabletop, and allow 60cm of table edge per chair.
Materials and finish
Velvet upholstery in burnt sienna, a warm earthy tone that shifts with the light, over a curved backrest and padded seat made for lingering.
Antique brass studs trace the edge of the back and seat, in the tradition of club chairs and Chesterfields. Against this warm colourway they read as a soft, continuous line rather than a bright border.
Solid oak legs ground the chair with natural warmth.
Care and honest expectations
Velvet. Vacuum regularly with an upholstery attachment. Blot spills straight away, never rub, and brush the pile in one direction to lift pressure marks.
Oak legs. Dust with a dry cloth, with nothing wet or abrasive.
What to expect. Velvet shades as the pile moves, and that shifting depth of colour is part of its charm. Keep it out of strong direct sun and away from radiators, as rich dyes can fade over time.
Styling and pairs well with
Let the chairs be the colour in the room, alongside oak or walnut dining tables, pale plaster walls and natural linen. Mix four with a bench for a relaxed, collected look.
