The Alani brings something most round dining tables overlook — a sculptural underframe treated as the entire design move. Three flat solid oak panels arrange in a Y-formation beneath the round top, meeting at a central junction that reads as a single architectural object rather than a base supporting a top. The three-panel structure has the visual clarity of contemporary furniture — Vincent Van Duysen, Studio Ashby, the Belgian-modern world where geometry and craft meet — and at 110cm in diameter the table sits in the right scale for a four-seater that anchors a dining room without overwhelming a smaller kitchen.

The smoked oak finish is the second move that lifts the Alani above generic round tables — a soft cerused grey-brown that catches the natural grain of the oak and lifts it into the surface, rather than burying it under a heavy stain.
