Most trays are an afterthought. This one is a decision.
A full 60cm across. Built to fill a coffee table rather than sit politely in the corner of one.
Handwoven from 100% sustainable seagrass with built-in woven handles. Light enough to carry, sturdy enough to hold everything you put in it. Browse all trays.
Twice the width of a standard tray
How big is 60cm, really?
A standard round tray, around 30cm
A large dinner plate, around 28cm
The Bali tray, 60cm
Put another way: two dinner plates sit side by side inside it with room around them. Please do check your measurements before ordering. At this scale it is considerably larger than a standard tray and it needs a surface to match.
One oversized tray does what three small ones cannot. Scale is the whole trick.

The detail that makes it different
The scale is the point. A 30cm tray holds a candle and a coaster. A 60cm tray holds a whole arrangement.
A stack of books, a vase, two or three candles, and still room to spare. That is why one oversized tray does what three small ones cannot, and why it stops being background and becomes a centrepiece in its own right.
Beyond the size, the seagrass gives the Bali a quality that wicker, rattan and bamboo alternatives cannot quite match. A tighter, denser weave with a smooth organic surface that holds its form well and brings a refined coastal quality to whatever it sits on.
The handles are integrated naturally into the rim rather than bolted on, which matters at this size. A 60cm tray needs handles to be liftable, and bolted-on hardware is exactly what undermines the look of so many woven alternatives.
The earthy natural tone coordinates with virtually every interior palette without comment, which is the other reason a tray this size works. Something this large in a strong colour would dominate a room.
Crafted from 100% sustainable seagrass, a fast-growing natural material that needs no chemicals or pesticides to cultivate. An eco-conscious choice for your home.
Why you will love it
- 60cm diameter, roughly double the width of the tray most people picture
- Holds a full arrangement, so one tray replaces three and looks better doing it
- Built-in woven handles, integrated into the rim rather than bolted on
- Tighter, denser weave than wicker or bamboo, with a smoother surface
- Only 13cm tall, so it never blocks a sightline across a room
- Light to carry despite the size, which is what makes the handles worth having
- Neutral natural tone that works with any palette
- 100% sustainable seagrass, grown without chemicals or pesticides
Will it fit your surface?
This is the question worth answering before you order, because 60cm is bigger than it sounds.
You need a coffee table of roughly 90cm wide as an absolute minimum, and ideally 120cm or more. On a smaller table the tray becomes the table, which leaves nowhere to put a cup down. On a 170cm table it sits beautifully with clear space either side.
Almost always fine, since islands are generous by nature. Leave working space around it rather than centring it if you actually prep on the surface.
Check the depth, not the width. At 60cm across, a 45cm deep console will have the tray overhanging front and back. A console of 50cm or more is a safer bet.
One of the best uses there is, because a tray gives an upholstered ottoman a firm surface. Measure the ottoman top and allow a clear margin all round so it does not perch on the edge.
Check the countertop depth carefully. Most bathroom counters are around 50cm to 55cm, so a 60cm tray will overhang. A wide bath ledge or a generous vanity is the right home.
Four ways to use it
Candles, books, a vase and the remote, all in one considered arrangement. Work in three heights: something tall, something low, something flat. Books laid flat give you a plinth to raise a small object onto.
A bread or fruit display, or a catch-all for oils, condiments and the everyday essentials that otherwise spread across a worktop. See our bowls and dishes for what goes in it.
Keys, post and daily essentials corralled from the moment you walk in. On a console table this is the single simplest fix for a hallway that never stays tidy.
Candles, diffusers and hand care laid out on a wide vanity or bath ledge. Our candles and diffusers range is made for this, and a tray turns a row of bottles into a display.
How our stylists would dress it
The most common mistake with a large tray is filling it corner to corner. Leave a third empty and the arrangement reads as curated rather than crowded.
Three objects at three different heights beats four at the same level, every time. A vase, a low bowl, a stack of books.
A tray full of purely beautiful objects reads as staged. Let the remotes or the coasters live in it too. That is what makes it look like a home rather than a photograph.
Woven seagrass wants something smooth and something matt alongside it. Glazed ceramics, a glass candle holder, and something living or faux from potted plants and trees.
A circle on a rectangle is one of the easiest ways to soften a room. If your coffee table is already round, place the tray slightly off centre rather than concentric, which looks like a target.
Materials and craftsmanship
100% sustainable seagrass. A fast-growing natural material cultivated without chemicals or pesticides, hand-woven into a tight, dense weave. Seagrass holds its form better than looser wicker and has a smoother surface than bamboo, which is why it suits a piece this size where a loose weave would sag.
Built-in woven handles. Formed as part of the rim rather than attached afterwards, so there is no hardware to work loose and nothing to interrupt the line of the weave.
13cm tall. Deep enough to contain what you put in it, shallow enough that it never blocks a view across a room.
Because these are hand-woven, weave density and tone vary slightly from tray to tray. That variation is the material working as intended rather than a fault.

Care and honest expectations
Keep it dry. Natural fibre and damp do not mix. Vacuum with a soft brush attachment or wipe with a barely damp cloth, then dry immediately. Never soak it.
Use a liner for food. Put bread, fruit or anything oily on a dish or a cloth rather than directly on the weave. Oils are the one thing that mark seagrass permanently.
Loose fibres are normal. Hand-woven natural fibre sheds the odd strand in the first weeks. Trim with scissors rather than pulling.
Bathroom use. Fine on a dry vanity, less so directly beside a shower. Persistent humidity will soften natural fibre over time.
Colour. Direct sunlight will lighten seagrass over years, evenly rather than in patches. Most people prefer it as it softens.
