The Santorini brings something most bookends are too literal to attempt — a sculptural composition treated as a piece of design rather than a piece of hardware. Each bookend pairs a flat L-shaped support with a generous solid sphere placed where the two planes meet, the sphere acting as both visual anchor and physical buffer between book and upright. The geometric language is pure modernist Italian — the cube and the sphere — but the travertine effect finish softens it from gallery-cool into something far warmer, the pitted, slightly chalky texture of natural stone giving every surface tactile depth that catches side-light.
