The Hackney brings a floor lamp engineered around a single specific use case — reading on a sofa or in an armchair, with the light positioned exactly where it needs to be. The slim T-bar base is the move that makes it work: a low flat horizontal foot designed to slide directly underneath the seating itself, putting the lamp's stem at the edge of the sofa cushion rather than awkwardly next to it. The deliberately short 108cm height puts the brass shade at exactly shoulder level for someone seated below — high enough to clear the head, low enough to throw light down onto a book or laptop screen.
