The bundle stands 105cm from the base of the stems to the tallest tip. That suits a floor vase, a tall console urn or a generous mantel vase — for anything smaller, trim the stems to length before arranging.
What vase does it need?
A tall, narrow-necked vase works best, holding the stems together at the base so the foliage fans outward above. As a guide, aim for a vase roughly a third to a half the height of the stems. In a wide-mouthed vessel, the bundle will need a little help to stay gathered.
Can I cut the stems?
Yes. Cut with sharp secateurs or wire cutters rather than scissors, and take a little at a time — you can always shorten further. Trimming from the base keeps the natural taper of the foliage intact.
Will it look right straight out of the box?
Give it a few minutes. The stems are bound and compressed for transit, so ease them apart and bend each one outward at a slightly different angle, letting the fine fronds fan and the taller sprays reach above. A little asymmetry is what makes it read as natural.
How do I care for it?
