The Wexley — a generous two-metre dining table in solid white oak, with a softly rounded rectangular top set on a sculptural starburst pedestal that opens up the floor space underneath and leaves seating completely unconstrained.
The Wexley is built around a single decisive design move — a starburst pedestal base of crossing solid oak struts that meet at a central point and splay out toward the floor, replacing the four corner legs that limit where chairs can go. The result is a table that seats six comfortably along its two-metre length without anyone straddling a leg, and that can pull in extra chairs at the heads without rearranging the room. The top itself is a thick slab of solid white oak with the natural grain left visible — knots, figure, the long open lines that only appear in real timber — softened at the edges and corners so the silhouette stays inviting rather than severe.

The detail that makes it different
Most pedestal tables either go fussy and turned, or flat and industrial — the Wexley does something rarer, which is to treat the base itself as the sculpture. The crossing oak struts are solid, substantial pieces of timber, angled and joined so that the base reads differently from every side of the room — never quite the same silhouette twice. The whole piece is built from solid white oak in a soft natural finish, with the grain and tonal variation of the wood left honest rather than stained out to a uniform colour. Pair it with a coordinating bench down one long side and dining chairs opposite for the most generous version of the setup. A genuine centrepiece — the kind of table a room ends up arranging itself around.
