Delphine Footed Pedestal Ceramic Bowl

Generous rather than tall. The wide mouth takes a full armful of flowers, a heap of fruit or a nest of moss and dried hydrangeas. At over six kilos, it anchors a table.

Glazed terracotta, hand-thrown, in a glossy, slightly mottled cream. The glaze pools to honey amber at the rim, handles, pedestal join and foot, giving it a naturally aged look.

Twin handles, each finished with a small coiled scroll pinched by hand. Each piece varies slightly. For indoor use only.

Wipe with a soft damp cloth and dry straight away. Avoid anything abrasive on the glaze. For fresh flowers, use a watertight liner inside rather than filling it directly.

Lift it from underneath the bowl with both hands, never by the handles, and use a mat on polished surfaces.

Set it at the centre of a long dining table with garden roses or fruit, or fill it with moss, candles and dried hydrangeas. On a sideboard, it holds the surface on its own.

It suits rustic, Mediterranean, French country and classical interiors.
