Will it fit? Allow around 90cm of clear space on every side for chairs, and plan for the full 310cm if you will extend it often. The twin pedestals keep the whole perimeter clear of legs. At 96kg, please check your access route and allow several people to position it.

Materials and finish

A solid oak top with the grain running lengthwise and a softened, weathered finish that lets the natural figure show, finished with panelled corners and an inset radius detail. Twin turned urn-form pedestals end in carved paw feet.

The extension runs on metal slides, with two leaves that store separately when not in use. As solid timber, oak moves gently with the seasons.

Care and honest expectations

Wipe spills promptly with a slightly damp cloth and dry straight away. Use placemats and coasters under hot dishes and wet glasses, and treat the top with furniture wax once or twice a year. Avoid silicone polishes.

Solid oak responds to humidity and temperature, so minor seasonal movement is natural. Keep it away from radiators and direct sunlight for a stable environment.

How does the extension work?

The two halves pull apart on metal slides, and you drop in one leaf for 260cm or both for 310cm. The leaves store separately.

How much assembly is involved?

Minimal. The two pedestal bases attach to the underside of the top, with no specialist tools needed. Allow a second pair of hands to help lift.

Is the top solid oak?

Yes. The top is solid oak, finished in a soft, weathered tone.

Do the legs get in the way?

No. The twin pedestal base keeps the perimeter clear, so every seat is free of legs.
