Will it fit? At 160 by 230cm it takes a coffee table fully on it with the front legs of a three seater sofa resting on the edge, or sits generously at the foot of a double or king bed. In larger rooms it works as a base layer.

Made from 100% natural jute in a dense, tight flat weave that keeps the surface smooth underfoot, in a tone somewhere between sand and warm tobacco.

Jute has a slightly coarse, linen like texture rather than a plush pile. As a natural fibre, tone, fibre thickness and weave vary slightly from rug to rug.

Vacuum regularly on low suction without a rotating brush. Blot spills straight away with a dry cloth and never rub or soak, as jute is sensitive to moisture. Do not wash or steam clean; for stubborn marks, use a barely damp cloth with a little mild soap and dry thoroughly.

Like all natural fibre rugs it will shed a little when new, settling over the first few weeks. A rug pad underneath adds cushioning and reduces movement. For indoor use only.

Use it beneath a piece from our coffee tables collection and a sofa from our sofas collection, or layer a smaller patterned rug or hide on top for a collected floor.

Is jute comfortable underfoot?

It has a slightly coarse, linen like texture. For a softer feel, add a rug pad beneath or layer a sheepskin on top.

Will it shed?

A little when new, which settles within the first few weeks. Regular gentle vacuuming clears loose fibres.
