Will it fit? In a living room, choose a size that sits under at least the front legs of your sofa and chairs, leaving a band of floor showing around the edge.

Machine woven in Turkey from a blend of 65% polyester and 35% polypropylene. The yarns are chosen for their natural sheen, so the abstract, geometric design catches the light with a refined metallic glow rather than an overt shine. The result is a rug that feels decorative yet calm, and hard wearing enough for everyday living.

Vacuum regularly on a low setting to lift dust from the pile. Treat spills straight away by blotting with a clean cloth, then spot clean with a little mild detergent and water. Avoid rubbing, which can disturb the pile.

Rotate the rug every few months so it wears evenly, and keep it out of strong direct sunlight to protect the colour. A little loose fibre in the first weeks is normal and will settle with vacuuming.

Let the soft shimmer play against warm wood and matt textures: a solid oak coffee table, a boucle accent chair and a layer of linen cushions in stone and ivory keep the look quiet and considered.

Is the metallic finish suitable for a busy room?

Yes. The sheen comes from the yarn itself rather than a coating, and the dense machine woven pile is made for everyday use in living rooms and bedrooms.

Will the rug shed?

A small amount of loose fibre is normal at first. Regular vacuuming on a low setting will clear it within the first few weeks.

Can I use it with underfloor heating?

Synthetic rugs like this are generally fine over underfloor heating, though we recommend checking your heating manufacturer's guidance first.

Do I need a rug underlay?

On hard floors an underlay is a good idea. It stops the rug from slipping and adds a little extra cushioning underfoot.
