Fable is hand tufted in India, pairing a flatweave base with areas of high tufting to create elongated block patterns. The pile is 100% wool, set on a polyester and cotton weave, and its 10mm height gives each raised block a soft, tactile relief. Worked in harmonious tonal shades of chocolate, the pattern reads as texture first and design second, so it settles easily into a considered scheme.

Vacuum regularly on a suction only setting or with the beater bar switched off, working in the direction of the pile. Blot spills straight away with a clean, dry cloth rather than rubbing, and for deeper marks or an overall refresh we recommend a professional rug clean.

Rotate the rug every few months so it wears evenly, and keep it out of strong direct sunlight to help preserve the colour. A little initial shedding is completely normal with a new wool rug and will settle with regular vacuuming.

Will my Fable rug shed?

A little initial shedding is natural with a new wool pile rug. It is simply loose fibres left from the making process and will reduce with regular vacuuming over the first few weeks.

What does the texture feel like?
