Yes — the Lulworth set is dishwasher, microwave and food safe. The stoneware is properly fired and the glaze is sealed, so it handles daily use without losing the finish. As with any ceramic, avoid extreme temperature changes (taking a plate directly from the freezer to a hot oven) which can stress the glaze over time.
Will every plate look exactly the same?
No — and that's the point. Reactive glazes produce natural variation in tone, speckle and edge banding between pieces, so each plate in the set has its own character. Expect close consistency in shape and size, but small differences in glaze pattern and russet edge intensity are part of the appeal rather than a flaw.
Will the plates chip or scratch?
Stoneware is hardwearing — significantly more durable than fine bone china — but as with any ceramic, treat with reasonable care.
