The Pemberton is a statement console for the spaces that need one — a long hallway, a panelled dining room, the wall behind a sofa. Handcrafted from solid mango wood in a soft, pale limewashed finish, it pairs two practical drawers with a sculptural twin-pedestal base and a full-length lower shelf for display. At 180cm wide it holds its own against a substantial wall without crowding it, and the turned column legs lift an otherwise weighty piece into something graceful. The limewash settles into the open grain of the mango wood, so the surface reads light and chalky rather than glossy — a finish that suits country, coastal and modern rustic rooms in equal measure. The two drawers handle the everyday clutter of hallway life — keys, post, gloves, the small things that need a home — while the hand-carved column pedestals and lower display shelf give the piece the gravity of a much grander item of furniture. The turned balustrade legs are carved individually, so the profile carries the subtle irregularity of real handwork rather than the flatness of a machined leg.
