Will it fit? The 40cm size suits a narrow hallway, back door or the space above a worktop, while the 80cm size spans a proper coat wall or utility run. Both project just 9cm from the wall.

Solid raw oak, left completely untreated, so it is ready to use as it is or to paint, stain, wax or oil to suit your room. Left bare, it will gently warm in tone over time.

The pegs are turned with a traditional rounded head that stops straps and loops sliding off. The shallow shelf is deep enough for keys, a small bowl or a propped postcard, without becoming a dumping ground.

Wall fixings are not included, as the right screw and plug depend on your wall. Fix into solid masonry, or into the timber studs behind a stud wall; plasterboard alone is not suitable for daily pulling. Each peg holds up to 2kg, so spread the load and avoid hanging heavy winter coats on a single peg.

For indoor use only. Untreated oak absorbs moisture, so avoid steamy bathrooms unless sealed first. Wipe with a damp cloth and dry afterwards; a clear wax or hardwax oil adds resistance to marks.

Hang aprons and tea towels in the kitchen, coats and dog leads by the back door, or bags and hats in a hallway, with a small dish for keys on the shelf above. Leave it as pale timber or paint it to disappear into the wall colour.

How much weight will each peg hold?

Up to 2kg per peg, comfortable for coats, bags, aprons, tea towels and dog leads. Spread the load rather than concentrating it on one peg.

Are wall fixings included?

No. Choose fixings to suit your wall, and fix into solid masonry or timber studs rather than plasterboard alone.

Can I paint it?

Yes. The oak is untreated, so a light sand and a suitable primer is all it needs before painting.

Can I use it in a bathroom?

It is for indoor use only, and untreated oak can mark or warp in steamy rooms unless properly sealed first.
