A proper centrepiece. At 38cm across and 15cm deep, it holds a generous amount and sits just below the sightline on a dining table. The bobbles project slightly beyond the body, so allow a little more than 38cm of surface.

Handcrafted ceramic with a plain, smooth body and a rim of hand-applied spheres in varying sizes, placed at irregular intervals so the profile changes as you turn it.

High-gloss burnt orange glaze that throws a highlight on every bobble. Being handmade, sphere placement and size vary, so every bowl is its own.

Hand wash only in warm soapy water with a soft cloth or brush, working gently between the spheres. Nothing abrasive on the glaze. Lift it from underneath rather than by the rim, and use a mat on polished surfaces.

Let it be the only strong colour, against bare timber, linen or a pale wall. If filling it, keep it a third full so the bobbles stay clear, and choose green apples, limes or greenery rather than red.

Place it near a lamp or window so light catches along the rim. It suits mid-century, eclectic and contemporary rooms.
