The warmth of a French country kitchen, on your wall

Where will it fit? It is large enough to hang alone. Above furniture, it suits a console or sideboard of around 90cm, with 20cm to 25cm between the two. On an empty wall, centre it at 145cm to 155cm from the floor.

Materials and finish

Reproduction on textured canvas, with the brushwork and canvas texture of the original showing through, giving it the surface of a painting rather than a flat print.

Dark timber frame with a gold inner edge, a traditional framing detail for oils. For indoor use only.

Care

Dust the canvas with a dry, very soft brush only, and never use anything wet on it. Wipe the frame with a dry cloth, taking care around the gold edge. In a kitchen, hang it away from the hob and sink, and keep it out of direct sunlight.

Styling and pairs well with

Hang it in a dining room, kitchen diner or pantry, against a deep wall such as olive, sage, clay or soft charcoal to make the copper and lemons glow. Give it clear wall around it rather than a gallery cluster.

Light it from the side with a table lamp on the sideboard below, and echo the copper with a brass or copper vessel, or a bowl of real lemons.
